introducing IntraLyte™
HydroSplash™ features the all-new dual hydration technology IntraLyte™ with electrolytes plus osmolytes!
IntraLyte™ protects cells better in two ways – against both heat and dehydration.

Electrolytes are essential for regulating fluid balance, nerve function, and blood pressure. Key examples include potassium citrate, sodium citrate, magnesium citrate, and calcium citrate. Each of these compounds plays a pivotal role in maintaining vital physiological processes in the body.

Osmolytes are crucial for regulating osmotic balance and safeguarding cells from excessive heat. This group includes amino acids like glutamine, glycine, and taurine, each playing a vital role. Additionally, HydroCarb™, a non-sugar carbohydrate known for its highly branched cluster dextrin structure, is also a significant osmolyte, contributing to cellular protection and balance.
No matter how thirsty you are, HydroSplash™ quenches better!

The PERFECT SPORTS brand Hydro Splash dual hydration beverage supplement is the latest in a growing line of sports performance nutrition products from Perfect Sports. Although this company is a small privately owned Canadian niche market business with less than 50 employees headquartered in Vaughn Ontario Perfect Sports develops tests manufactures and markets premium products that are proudly exported to several international markets. Can we talk about wellness supplements? Savvy consumers are willing to embrace performance enhancement diet and nutrition supplements however they also want assurances that the products designed for this purpose are safe authentic regulated fairly sourced environmentally friendly etc. The first task for this reviewer a retired University Professor therefore was to research and ensure whether this product was “genuine” as described or just the equivalent of overpriced Kool-Aid. Happily the Hydro Splash passed this exam successfully. In Canada any dietary supplement intended for sale in Canada must be issued a Natural Product Number (NPN) by Health Canada. This NPN serves as proof that the product has been reviewed and approved by regulatory authorities. This product has Health Canada endorsement listed on the label. However the actual NPN number is not provided and this reviewer would suggest that the vendor would include this number on the future product labels in the interest of full transparency and compliance. The company also uses the services of Informed Choice to ensure product and suppliers are compliant and product specifications are accurate as described. Informed Choice is a well-known respected and trusted multinational independent product testing and compliance organization. Now that we have ascertained a passing grade for this the authenticity quality assurance measures etc. for this product let’s move on to testing and evaluating the product attributes and sensory profile. The product was received with a double packaging seal on the lid of the 330 gram weight container. Product settling had reduced the actual product to only filling approximately two thirds of the container (picture attached). The recommended dosage for this product is a maximum of one scoop per serving of water and only one serving per day maximum. A small portioning scoop approximately 2 inches long is included in the container (picture attached). User-friendliness would be greatly enhanced if this tiny scoop could be replaced by a scoop with a 5 inch long handle the same depth as the product container. This would also be far more sanitary as the present scoop is easily totally covered in product necessitating fingers touching the product at each use. This reviewer added the recommended single scoop to a 22 ounce insulated water jug filled with H2O and ice cubes. This jug sees daily personal hydration use and is located next to the computer keyboard. This reviewer was absolutely delighted with the sensory profile that followed! The first sensory of note was sweet really sweet! A quick check of the ingredients revealed that the first-listed primary product was dextrin a natural starch derivative that delivers both fibre and natural sweetness. The second observation was the realistic fruity flavor burst. Unlike many additives that carry a fake or imitation fruit flavor profile the product formulation folks had done a really good job of producing a realistic and pleasurable sensory outcome. The drink colour is sky-blue as illustrated with the attached clear drinking glass picture. So where did they get the blue raspberries for the flavoring? Good question. There is of course no such thing as actual blue raspberries. Back in the 1970s there was a firestorm of backlash based on cancer causing concerns against red dye #2 used to provide colouring for virtually all red fruit (i.e. strawberries cherries) reconstituted products. One of the makers of the ubiquitous sugar and water based flavoured frozen icicle treats decided to circumvent consumer concerns of red dye by boldly introducing blue raspberry flavor. North Americans today consume about 150 million of these frozen treats annually. There are now blue raspberry Twizzlers (introduced in 2009) and blue raspberry Jolly Ranchers (first rolled out in 2011) among other candies. Happily there was no sign of bitter aftertaste common to some artificial sweeteners nor was there any trace of lingering post consumption mouth stickiness often associated with cheaper sweetness products such as corn syrup. In summary a daily portion of this product has the potential to put some genuine fun and flavor enhancement to plain water consumption while simultaneously recharging the body after workouts sporting activities etc. Conclusion: The PERFECT SPORTS brand Hydro Splash dual hydration beverage supplement can add a flavor burst to ordinary water while simultaneously refreshing/rebuilding after strenuous sporting activities. Additional Health Canada labelling clarification and improvements to the existing product portioning scoop are recommended. An overall product score of 4/5 is assigned accordingly.

The flavor is great I’ve used this mix on marathons all my training and it gives me enough electrolytes to help me finish. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the added food colouring. Otherwise it’s been good for me shipping was fast with Amazon Prime
